An experimental map and globe applet for exploring cane spirits by country, producer, region, and route.

The long-term idea is simple: sail across the map, click a country, and discover which rums, distilleries, woods, raw materials, and traditions are associated with that place.

For multi-country rums, the ship may sail toward the average of the relevant coordinates. For unknown or disputed origins, it may drift into the open ocean, perhaps even toward Point Nemo.
